Winner of a 2010 Silver Pollie, this biographical spot for Steve Pagliuca portrays him as the every man of Massachusetts- raised in a large family with middle class means. This introduces voters to a candidate who understands the “ordinary struggles” of “ordinary people.” This ad played a major part in shaping Pagliuca’s image as a jobs candidate. While he did not win the Democratic Primary, Steve Pagliuca established himself as a key authority on economic issues in New England. His polling numbers on jobs and the economy increased dramatically throughout the race. In the final poll before the election Pagliuca was more trusted on job creation and the economy than the eventual winner.
