Washington, DC (June 8th, 2004) - julianmulvey.com, a new Democratic media consulting firm, opened its doors recently. The firm has already scored a big upset in the fourteenth district of Ohio with the Capri Cafaro for Congress campaign. Mulvey directed the ads and message strategy that helped Cafaro win a tough five-way primary with 56 percent of the vote. She is the youngest candidate nominated to run for a U.S. House seat this year. The firm will be directing the media and message strategy for several campaigns across the country, including St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley (MO), and several non-profit organizations.

The firm’s principal is Julian Mulvey, a Shrum Devine Donilon alumnus and former founding partner of eighteenth street MEDIA, recognized for its creative work in political media. At the age of 32, Julian Mulvey has won five Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants as well as the Visionary Award from the D.C. Independent Film Festival for his work on a documentary film about Judge Harold Greene. In addition to his campaign and film work, Mulvey is known as one of the top Democratic producers of political flash animations.

Rush’s Dream, Mulvey’s first play, debuts on June 11th in New York City. It tells the story of the historic reconciliation of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams as brought about by their mutual friend Benjamin Rush. The play runs through July 4th at the HERE Arts Center in SoHo. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Garry Wills will speak following the June 20, matinee. For ticket information, please visit www.here.org or call the HERE box office at 212.868.4444.

The team behind julianmulvey.com also includes Steve Rabin, a recent Harvard Kennedy School of Government graduate (and a member of “Team Franken”), Michelle Coyle, a veteran of several Democratic campaigns, and Robin Bell, production manager and visual artist.

julianmulvey.com anticipates an exciting future helping Democratic candidates win elections and political groups spread their message. For Mulvey’s full bio and examples of the firm’s work, point your browser to www.julianmulvey.com.
