The Boston Globe asked Tad, “a mastermind of the 1994 Kennedy ads,” to weigh in on the recent round of ads released by President Obama’s reelection team that tie Mitt Romney’s role as the head of Bain Capital to rounds of layoffs and plant closing around the country.
Tad explains that, “Romney has asked voters to trust him with the economy because of his expertise in business” but that “given where the country has been between 1994 and today, the ads are likely to be even more potent.”
In a Washington Post article on the same subject, Tad notes that that Romney’s economic record is “the heart of his campaign and if you undercut that, there aren’t a lot of places left for Romney to go.”
